The beginning

Right now I popped into college today and got my studio organised so hopefully by the time I go in next Wednesday I should be able to start printing images of my lovely trees off and putting them all round it.  I posted a photo of the sort of images of trees I like - maybe some of you could tell me how you feel when your out walking in woods or how a tree makes you feel when you look up at it and its just so huge!!  I also put in a pic of one of my paintings that came out a bit blurred - sorry!  Anyway guys I'd also be grateful if you could tell me what part of the world your from - then I know where your trees are!!

Thank you to those of you who have already commented and making this very exciting for me - it only works with you guys commenting!! Also those of you who have left me your journal link I will be visiting you to make comments on your journals too.  I might even print out some of these comments and use them in my work - they are truly wonderful thank you to you all.  Love Laine xxx

Hi jeadie - thanks for your comment - to put the pictures side by side you just go into edit pictures when you have finished selecting the one you want - I just found it by chance.  Thanks for liking my painting - Im putting the painting aside for a bit as I lost the excitement and the point of painting them - really dont know what Im going to do next really.  This journal is a starting point though.

I feel as sense of not being alone when I walk among trees in the forest.   Each tree is another life force to reassure me of the presence of sustained life.   mark

I am surrounded by trees very old and very new. I have planted more than a dozen in and around our house.

I would love to live deep in a forest.

They are like cathedrals in majesty.

My house is surrounded by Trees - but very bare at the moment!

Oh man...trees...for me it's trees and clouds.  I have always been fascinated by all nature, but especially trees.  Maybe because they move most like us...or most notably like us when they are kissed by the wind.  I wanted to thank you for the silent inspiration to get my camera replaced...finally.  I am no great talent, but really enjoy being out in life trying to catch it on film. ;)  C.  http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies

Hi Elaine, nice to see a new face in J-Land, and one so near to me!! I live in Brighton, not too far from Hastings. I love trees too, I visited New England last October and Borneo in March last year. You'd love the rain forests of Borneo!! I have a private journal with lots of tree pics in, I can put you on my list of readers if you like. Good luck with your journal. Jeannette.

Hi Laine...

I am a lover of walks in the woods, photography, and my dog!!  I stumbled on your link in Celeste's journal and am excited to watch as your art emerges.  I certainly know that feeling of creativity screaming to find a way out.  Good luck with your new muse....and ENJOY!!

Hi!  I'm back.  Tagging is when one of the memes going around gets you "tagged" by another person to do it.  I had three different people say, "Tag!  You're it!"...hence the fifteen...  I am in Georgia BTW. ;)  C.  http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies
